Child Safety Standards

The short version. Crossdeck has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). If you see anything through Crossdeck that puts a child at risk, email safety@wepala.com — or use the “Report a child safety concern” link inside the app — and we will act on it.

1. Our commitment

Crossdeck is operated by Wepala, LLC (“Crossdeck”, “we”, “us”). We prohibit any use of Crossdeck to create, view, share, solicit, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or to sexualise, groom, exploit, or endanger minors in any way. This prohibition is part of our End User License Agreement and applies to every user of the Crossdeck applications and services.

2. What this covers

“Child sexual abuse and exploitation” includes, without limitation:

child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including AI-generated imagery;
grooming — building a relationship with a minor to enable sexual abuse or exploitation;
sextortion — threatening or blackmailing a minor using real or fabricated intimate imagery;
trafficking of, or commercial sexual exploitation involving, a minor;
sexualised depictions or descriptions of minors, and attempts to solicit any of the above.

3. How reporting works

Anyone can report a child safety concern to safety@wepala.com. The Crossdeck app also includes a “Report a child safety concern” link, available without signing in, that opens the same channel. Include what you saw, where (which network, account, or post), and when — screenshots help, but never re-share suspected CSAM itself.

4. What we do when you report

Crossdeck is a reader for third-party networks such as Bluesky and Mastodon: content shown in your columns is hosted by those networks, not by us. When we receive a report we will, as appropriate:

review it promptly and prioritise it over all other support work;
terminate the reported user's access to Crossdeck where they are a Crossdeck user in breach of our standards;
escalate the content to the network that hosts it so it can be removed at the source;
report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the equivalent authority in the relevant jurisdiction;
preserve and provide information to law enforcement as required by valid legal process.

5. Compliance with child safety law

We comply with applicable child safety laws, including mandatory CSAM reporting obligations, and we cooperate with law enforcement investigations into child sexual abuse and exploitation. As described in our Privacy Policy, Crossdeck is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country).
