End User License Agreement

Plain-language summary. You may use Crossdeck to read and post to networks you connect. You're responsible for your accounts and what you post. Crossdeck connects to third-party networks that have their own rules. The software is provided “as is”. This summary is not a substitute for the full terms below.

1. Acceptance of these terms

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a contract between you and Wepala, LLC (“Crossdeck”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Crossdeck applications, binaries, and hosted services (together, the “Service”). By installing, accessing, or using the Service you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. License grant

Subject to this Agreement, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal or internal purposes. Crossdeck is proprietary software; except for this limited right to use the Service, all rights are reserved and no source code or other rights are granted to you. The Service includes WeOS, which we include under our own rights as its copyright holder; your use of the Service grants you no rights in Crossdeck or WeOS beyond the limited license described here. 3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the Service in violation of any law or the terms of any network you connect;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account, or data;
interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or the networks it connects to;
use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or unlawful, infringing, or abusive content;
misrepresent your identity or another person's, or violate others' rights or privacy.

4. Connected networks and your accounts

Crossdeck lets you connect third-party networks such as Bluesky and Mastodon. Your use of those networks is governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the credentials and app passwords you use and for all activity carried out through your connected accounts. As described in our Privacy Policy, your connections live on your device.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you create and post through the Service. You are solely responsible for that content and for ensuring you have the rights to post it. You grant us only the limited, technical permissions needed to operate the Service for you (for example, to transmit a post to the networks you select).

6. Intellectual property

The Crossdeck name, logo, and brand are owned by Wepala, LLC and may not be used without permission, except as permitted by applicable law. The underlying software is licensed as described in Section 2; this Agreement does not transfer ownership of the Service to you.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will remain compatible with any third-party network.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEPALA, LLC AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach this Agreement or to comply with the law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5–8 and 10) will survive.

10. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law applies to you.

11. Changes to this Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. When we make material changes we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
